Amy Sanchez, AMFT

My name is Amy Sanchez, and I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 132651). I have experience working in the mental health field for 10 years serving the Central Valley in various settings such as community mental health, hospitals, shelters, and private practice.

I invite you to come exactly as you are to each of our sessions together. If you have ever felt lost, tired, overwhelmed, depressed, or frazzled I'm here for you. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and no matter where you are in your life, I believe it's never too late to change and get to know yourself better. My approach is to invite you to a safe place where you can relax and decompress. My hope after each session is to leave you better than you arrived, but even on messy days I will be there to support you and provide unconditional positive regard.

I can assist you by helping you set goals to improve your relationship with yourself and others, explore the traumas that have held you back, and walk between life transitions. I use various modalities to help challenge thinking patterns, develop coping skills and I am trained in EMDR therapy if words have failed you in the past.
