I believe that the most important part of our work together is understanding. When you share your story with me, I take your words exactly as they are—as vital information that helps me truly get to know you. I recognize that every detail you share is a part of who you are; I know that even the smallest piece of information can hold a lot of power over how you feel and move through the world.
My approach is to let you 'educate' me on your life. I don't just want to hear you; I want to understand you. By listening deeply to your unique experiences, I can provide you with the care you deserve and support that is specialized to you as an individual. Whether we are navigating complex trauma, life transitions, or the daily weight of anxiety, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and fully understood.
My foundation in this field began at San Jose State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at California State University, Fresno. Prior to becoming a clinician, I had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including families, youth, and adults within the unhoused community, individuals on the autism spectrum, those living with severe mental illness (SMI), and people with physical disabilities.
My world revolves around helping others. This passion comes from my own vulnerable moments and the profound help I received from others during those times. I believe it is my purpose to give back what was once given to me, and I truly feel that in this role as a clinician is where I belong. It is my opportunity to offer the same support and empowerment that helped shape who I am today.
