Amy Sanchez, AMFT

Hello,
My name is Amy Sanchez, and I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #132651) based in the Central Valley. I specialize in helping adults, couples, and teens navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, burnout, and life transitions—with a focus on building lasting emotional resilience.
I take a warm, collaborative approach, drawing from CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based practices to help you adapt to life’s challenges and discover what works best for you. If you’ve tried traditional talk therapy and felt it wasn’t effective, I’m also trained in EMDR therapy, which can support you in processing trauma and moving forward.
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, available in person and via Telehealth.
With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve supported clients across a variety of settings—including County Mental Health Crisis Services, outpatient mental health and substance use programs, inpatient hospitals, and the local domestic violence/sexual assault agency. These experiences have shown me the deep importance of providing people with a space to find their voice and feel heard.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my gentle, nonjudgmental presence. In our work together, we’ll move at your pace, building insight and creating meaningful change.
Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me reading romantasy novels, crocheting, or walking my cat.
